Hi, Iā€™m Jack.

For most of my life, I've been an actor. Immediately when I stepped on a stage for the first time, I fell in love with the art of performance. I relished in the empowerment I felt being in front of hundreds of eyes. After my freshman year of college, I started to realize theatre wasn't the path I was meant to go down. Shortly before, I became obsessed with makeup; I couldn't stop myself from buying a new blush, or a new concealer. I was enthralled by the packaging, the aesthetic of cosmetic brands, and the way makeup made me feel. I knew this was the world I needed to be in.

As a boy in makeup, I felt scared to leave the house with even just a brow fill; I had always been made to feel like makeup is meant for women. When I finally found the courage to step outside of my house, I made a vow to myself and to other people that didn't feel that they belonged in the cosmetic industry: someday I will break the binary. The beauty industry has room to grow, and I want to lead the change that is soon to come.

I am currently studying The Business of Beauty of Fragrance, earning a BFA at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Needless to say: I'm here, we're here, and let's do this together.
